MSC Cyberport Johor Ties-Up With Sunil Mantri Realty To Develop Bandar MSC Cyberport

MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. today announced that it has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding(MoU) with Sunil Mantri Realty to jointly collaborate in the development, construction, marketing and funding of Bandar MSC Cyberport, the 1st MSC Malaysia Cybercity in Kulai, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

This was announced at an MoU exchange ceremony between MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. and Sunil Mantri Realty Ltd., during the World Congress on Information Technology 2008 (WCIT 2008) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today.

The two organizations were represented by Mr. Ganesh Kumar Bangah, the Chief Executive Officer of MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. and Mr. Sunil Mantri, the Chairman of Sunil Mantri Realty Ltd., of India. The MoU exchange ceremony was witnessed by Y.A.B. Datuk Seri Abdullah bin Haji Ahmad Badawi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Y.A.B Dato’ Haji Abdul Ghani bin Othman, the Chief Minister of Johor.

Bandar MSC Cyberport will be developed in 3 phases starting from end of 2008 over a 8-year period with an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM 1.16 billion (Approximately US$425 Million) and will target business clusters in the areas of shared services outsourcing, software development and creative multimedia industries.

Bandar MSC Cyberport, located 20 minutes away from the Second Link to Singapore; as a designated MSC Malaysia Cybercity will enjoy the MSC Malaysia Bill of Guarantees which includes a world class infrastructure, 10 year tax holidays, freedom to bring in knowledge workers and freedom to source capital globally for ICT Companies.

Mr. Sunil Mantri, Chairman of Sunil Mantri Realty Ltd. said “Sunil Mantri Realty Ltd. will bring in our experience and expertise for the construction, development and marketing of the Cybercity based on our track record in executing and completing 120 residential and commercial projects including in Special Economic Zones and Software Parks with a total area of 15 million sq. ft. spread across India in 15 cities across India such as Mumbai, Kalyan, Pune, Solapur, Nagpur and Bangalore”.

Bhd. said.

Last Tuesday, MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. signed an MoU with the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) to ensure the successful development of the 150-acre Bandar MSC Cyberport which is billed to be the ICT Flagship of Iskandar Malaysia. Under the MoU, IRDA will ensure the success of MSC Cyberport Johor’s MSC Malaysia initiatives by facilitating and assisting MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. to market, promote and provide access to related Iskandar Malaysia incentives for MSC Cyberport Sdn. Bhd. and the companies locating in Bandar MSC Cyberport.
