MSC Malaysia Cybercities & Cybercentres Will Have One-Stop Shop System Upon Completion of Trial Run

MDeC will roll out system once pilot project is completed and team has gained knowledge and key learnings to improve services

JOHOR BAHRU, 20 July 2007 (Friday) – MSC Malaysia Cybercities and Cybercentres will have a one-stop shop system once the pilot project currently being implemented by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) is completed and the team that is spearheading the project has gained important knowledge and key learnings to improve the services further.

Cybersolution Technologies Sdn Bhd (CTSB), a Local Company based in Johor that developed a One Stop Shop Management (OSS) System for MSC Malaysia Cyberport Johor today signed a Memorandum of Intent with .MDeC to start a pilot project to facilitate the roll-out of the OSS system to other MSC Malaysia Cybercities/Cybercentres nationwide.

This was announced at a signing ceremony between MDeC and (CTSB) during the opening ceremony of the Minggu Sains Teknologi dan ICT (MISTI) Negeri Johor 2007 at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru, Johor.

MDeC CEO Datuk Badlisham Ghazali signed the MoI with CTSB Executive Director En. Ramlee Jaafar. It was witnessed by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, MDeC Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Halim Ali, and MSC Cyberport Deputy Chairman Salikon Sarpin.

The establishment of a OSS for all MSC Malaysia Cybercities/Cybercentres nationwide is to assist the growth of the nationwide MSC Malaysia Cybercity/Cybercentre rollout initiative, by providing a streamlined and centralized communication, collaboration and monitoring system for MSC Malaysia Cybercity/Cybercentre Management Agencies and ICT Companies located or planning to locate within designated MSC Malaysia Cybercities/Cybercentres. This is also inline with the effort to implement sharing of best practices between MSC Malaysia Cybercities/Cybercentres.

The key values offered along with the implementation of this OSS in overcoming the issues and challenges faced by Cybercities/Cybercentres Management agencies includes; a Single Centralised Database Repository, an Effective CCM Management Tool, ISO 9001:2000 Conformed Solution, Monitoring and Analysis Tool for Key Performance Indicators Benchmarking, Tenancy Tracking and Monitoring Tools.
